September 11

Chris' parents came out today. Caleb was so excited to see them, and he immediately put them to work playing his favorite game:
hill sprints.

I'm pretty sure most grandparents aren't as athletic or agreeable to such rigorous workouts. Caleb is quite the task master when it comes to running up and down the hill! But Grandmother and Grandad kept playing.

Caleb rewarded them for their efforts with a view of his belly.

And then they ran.
Don't let this picture fool you. Dan and Gayle may look like they're gracefully stepping down the hill, but they were running!

Caleb finally let them rest long enough for some snuggles with Daisy.

Can you tell how happy and exhausted they all were from their exercise?
(and how thankful Chris and I were that WE weren't the ones doing hill sprints today?)

After they left, the fam snuggled on the couch. (Do you see Chris' leg and Daisy's little feet? All three of them were jumbled in a big pile.) Caleb was captivated by a miniature Bible that Grandmother gave him. He kept thumbing through it, saying, "Gramovver gave you this! Find picture of Jesus?"

Daisy, meanwhile, spent her time smiling

and laughing at Daddy.

It was a good day, but we're all exhausted now!
