The time change was not easy on us. Chris and I woke up dead tired this morning, and didn't get out of bed until it was too late to make it to church on time. Instead, we all lazed around the house all morning. Daisy asked if we could bake a "breakfast cake" (we've been watching Martha Bakes on PBS lately, and she was fascinated by the coffee cake episode), so I found this recipe for a grain-free blueberry coffee cake. We tweaked the recipe a bit, but Daisy was really happy.
At one point today, Chris had Eli in his arms and Lily needed a diaper change. He put Eli in Lily's crib, and discovered something amazing...
Eli liked it.
He really liked it. For some reason, when we place him in the crib, he is surprisingly content.
We are definitely not ready for him to actually sleep in the crib, but it's nice to know that the transition might not be so terrible.
And now I am going to go to bed.
