It's amazing how a little sunshine makes everything right.
While Caleb was at preschool and Lily was napping this morning, Daisy and I did gardening work. We planted some seeds and seedlings in the garden, made some newspaper seedling pots, and soaked some seeds for later planting.
After afternoon naps, we headed outside for more gardening time, and our friends Caleb, Hannah, and Andrew came over to play! It was a little chilly, but once again, the sunshine fixed everything.
Caleb was my sweet little garden helper. See his little seedling pot, dirt-covered spoon, and dirty hands?
Daisy already had her fill of gardening, so she sat on the blanket and entertained her sister. I think both girls were watching our friends run around like crazy people.
Oh, that little curl around Daisy's eye just kills me! I've noticed lately that she twists the curl with her finger, which is why it's always so pronounced and perfect and right there.
Terry, Andrew, and Hannah. Hannah ended up being a great little garden helper, too!
Meanwhile, these boys played baseball, and were mostly nice to each other. The other Caleb looks annoyed because our Caleb was trying to give him a stick. He didn't want a stick; he wanted the baseball. Then our Caleb explained that it was "the winning stick", and the other Caleb really wanted it.
Funny how that works.
