Still sick.
Daisy and Chris are fine.
No school or housekeeping or even getting dressed is happening around here.
The kids watched Animaniacs on Netflix, and I didn't even care. Yakko sang the Countries of the World song, which I'm fairly certain counts for something.
Later in the morning, though, I perked up a bit.
Daisy was dressed in her favorite dress, and she asked to take a selfie.
Then I decided it was time to transition Eli into a big boy bed.
My brain is weird.
Back story: When it was time to transition Lily out of her crib, we brought our old queen mattress and box spring into her room. She slept in that quite nicely. The ultimate goal, though, is for all four kids to share one room. We have Caleb and Daisy in a bunk bed, and a second, matching bunk is currently separated - one bed in their room, one in Lily's room. A while ago, we started making Lily sleep in the twin bed to help her get ready to sleep in the Big Kids room. But for about a week now she has been able to sleep with the Big Kids every night, all night! Now she only uses the twin bed in her room for nap time, and she doesn't use the queen mattress at all.
Today, I moved the queen mattress out of Lily's room and into Eli's room. I also took the vanity and mirror out of Eli's room and put it in Lily's room. Lots of general furniture rearranging took place, and now Lily's room looks like this:
And Eli's room looks like this:
Eli's room is super crowded, and we will probably have to take the recliner out of it. But for now, it works. We'll see how the transition to a big boy bed goes!
