It's an early-post day today, because we're going to see U2 tonight!
It's kind of a big deal for us for two reasons:
1. Chris turns thirty in ten days, and I bought these tickets for him back in December(?) as a birthday gift for him.
2. It's our first time leaving Daisy with someone who isn't Mommy or Daddy. Well, we left her for an hour while we rode on the boat last weekend, but that was only an hour. This is a whole evening, with a few feedings thrown in. Let's hope my mom's up for it! (Thanks, Mom!)
I don't think Caleb realizes he's not going. He's been looking at the tickets, which feature an image of Busch Stadium, and he keeps saying, "Go see Busch Stadium? Go see Arch? Go see fireworks at Busch Stadium? (The last time we went to a Cardinals game, Albert Pujols hit a home run and earned fireworks. Caleb remembers. Oh yes, Caleb remembers.)
So. Pictures for today, before we head out to one HOT concert (They're predicting a temperature of 115 on the field, where we'll be. Yikes.).
Chris took these photos of Daisy waking up from a nap after church. They're pretty typical of our little flower. They also remind me of this post, from when Caleb was just a few weeks older than Daisy is now.
Once she's unswaddled,
she continues to drift in and out of sleep. Please note the drool trickling down her chin. She gets that from me.
Then she fully wakes up and smiles.
She gives a BIIIIG stretch.
And starts kicking her legs in delight, because she's so happy to see you and happy to be awake. That's our girl!
And then there's Caleb, who is remarkably good at walking around in our much-too-big shoes. It's a good skill to have.
Now I'm off to try not to fret as I prepare to leave my baby!!
