November 15

Today we visited the Magic House with Amber and her kids. Now that he's finally becoming more independent and less cautious, Caleb had a great time. Unfortunately, neither Amber nor I brought our cameras in. I did manage to grab this photo with my cell phone, though:
Caleb was really impressed with the the Magic House's construction area. You can't tell that from this photo, though, because his excitement was tempered by exhaustion. He's usually down for his nap by 12:30, but today we played until 12:30. Luckily, we avoided any exhaustion-induced meltdowns and just had a slightly wilted little boy.

And Daisy? I wore her in the water wrap the whole time, which usually puts her right to sleep. Not today, though. The Magic House was so noisy and fun and interesting that she fought valiantly, and didn't fall asleep until the very end.

She took a nice long nap at home, then tried a new food for dinner:
Spaghetti.

I doubt Daisy actually swallowed any of the spaghetti, but she had so much fun playing with it! Regardless of how much actually made it into her belly, I know she ate more than Caleb, who was content to eat two slivers of Parmesan cheese from the top of his spaghetti, then go to bed. Oh well. Maybe next time.
