June 6

We have had a full week: playdates/visits with friends Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday! Today, we were happy to hang out at home and be goofy.

Caleb is just discovering that it is socially acceptable for boys to be shirtless in many situations. This is good for him, because up til now he's only realized the things boys don't normally do: wear dresses, wear nail polish, be sparkly, have long hair, be princesses...
He didn't say anything, but I think he was getting a bit discouraged. It is kind of unfair; girls can be anything they want these days, but boys have definite restrictions. But now, he can be shirtless. Or shirtless, with a cape and a headlamp and a pink microphone. And that, my friends, makes for a happy boy.

Daisy decided to one-up Caleb. In this picture, she is completely naked except for her cape and oven mitt.
I'm still not entirely sure how this situation came about, but it was too funny to intervene. She informed me that she was baking cookies, even though she was putting the pan into the refrigerator.

After naps, it was warm enough for the water table.
Daisy really wanted to make sure I got a picture of the polar  bear in her cup.

Love this girl.

See? Polar bear!
