April 4

Caleb's first Easter was the best day ever.

It got off to a great start when Caleb slept in until 8:15. That's unheard of in these parts.

After church, Caleb was delightfully compliant and took a two-hour nap so that Chris and I could finish preparing for Easter lunch with both of our families. He cheerfully woke up right as they started arriving, and basked in their attention for the next few hours.

Caleb got to open up gifts in his Easter basket

and roll around  on the floor.

(please note his leg, wrapped around the bar stool)

He got passed around from grandparent to grandparent, aunt to cousin, and he charmed them all. The only one remaining uncharmed? Aunt Grace, in a distant land called "Texas". We miss you, Grace!

We were reminded today of how abundantly God has blessed us, and we are so thankful for Jesus' resurrection, which sets us free.
Happy Easter!
