July 15

Today was a big day: Conference Swim Meet!
The kids all painted their fingers and toes with cow spots at practice yesterday. Even Lily got in on the cow action, and she was excited to cheer on her siblings today!

Daisy's race was first. See her back there, chewing on her goggles? She was very nervous, but we discussed it ahead of time and she decided she was going to participate.

She looks so little, and yet so big!

Can you tell she's nervous?

Off she goes!

She didn't swim as well as she did in her past two meets, and kept pausing to hold onto the ropes and fiddle with her goggles. Later, we found out that her goggles were leaking. Poor girl!
Still, she swam hard and finished her race, and we were so proud!

Good job, Daisy!

Then it was Caleb's turn.
He's an old pro at Conference now. You know, because he swam in it last  year.

He's in the middle, not quite last place.

Good job, Caleb!

And then, while he ate a hot dog, this happened:
Finally! Nearly a year after he lost his first tooth, Caleb finally lost a top tooth. Hooray!
