November 1

It may have been 30 degrees outside when we woke up this morning, but Chris and I planned an outdoor adventure anyway. That's just how we roll. This weekend was the last that the Children's Garden at the Botanical Garden was open for the season, so we decided to head out there today. But because my husband loves me, he took us out for breakfast first. That man really speaks my love language.

By the time we arrived at the Garden, the temperature was just below 40. It seemed more reasonable at the time. On our agenda for the morning was feeding the fish (and hopefully ducks!), riding the tram, and visiting the Children's Garden.
Well.
We fed the fish first, and we ended up spending so much time there that we discarded all of our other plans. No one seemed to mind, because the fish and ducks were so much fun!

Chris was there, so I could safely get some pictures of Lily enjoying the ducks. The girl was so darn happy!

Here's a video that doesn't even begin to remotely capture how much fun she was having:

Caleb and Daisy are a bit more trustworthy than the fifteen-month-old, so they came down close to the water with me. Caleb made his bag of food last for.ev.er by dropping one piece of food at a time into each fish's mouth. But the best part? He enjoyed it every. single. time. It's amazing how something as simple as a fifty cent bag of fish food can make the kids so happy!

"Ducks!"
