Nope. Still nothing.
I was really hoping Baby would come today, because it is exactly the halfway point between Caleb and Chris' birthdays. I thought it might be nice to spread the July birthdays out a bit. There are still four and a half hours left of the 18th, but somehow I doubt that we'll go from zero to Baby in such a short time.
The kids and I went outside this morning to hang some diapers in the sunshine to dry, and we discovered our first big, beautiful butterfly enjoying our butterfly garden. Caleb immediately insisted that we get his butterfly net so that he could catch it.
Thankfully, the butterfly was smart enough to fly away while we were fetching the nets. Caleb and Daisy sat and waited patiently for it to return.
At one point, Daisy grew tired of waiting and decided she was going to track down that butterfly. Off into the grass she marched!
Finally, he returned. Sadly, I was in the wrong place for picture-taking, but you can see part of him. You can also see Daisy's little face watching him, and a hint of red in the corner that is Caleb's butterfly net.
As I walked around for a better angle, Caleb made his move. Luckily, the butterfly was faster and it flew away. Still, that was a close call!
