Our little bug is 8 months old today!
I swear he's ready to take over the world.
It's strange - the weeks seem to go in slow-motion, but somehow the months fly by.
Here's a recap of where we've been:
Our freshly born baby, still in the hospital.
Read our birth story here.
One month old, and we thought he was the cutest, smartest thing ever. (Of course, we were right!)
Two months old, and we were wowed by his smile. We had no idea how much better it would get!
Three months old was probably my favorite age so far - he learned and changed so much!
Four months old, blowing raspberries like there's no tomorrow.
Five months old, and he discovered his feet!
Six months old, and he was a sitting machine!
Seven months brought us sleepless nights, but a cute baby made up for it. Almost.
And now we're here, at eight months old.
Some 8-month info:
He weighs about 18 pounds. The heady days of gaining 8 ounces a week are long gone, and he's been steady at 18 pounds for 3 weeks now.
He "talks" all the time. I think his first word will be "ball" or "book".
When we read to Caleb, he loves to turn the pages.
Still no crawling for us, but he's getting closer.
He loves to swim and swing. We have an active little man!
He'll eat anything we give him, and is learning to master feeding himself rice poofs.
Caleb plays catch! If we roll a ball to him, he'll pick it up and throw it back.
We are so blessed.
I love those last two pictures of Caleb. He's so cute!
