September 10

Things are all a-tizzy around here as we prepare for our vacation. Really, nothing is a-tizzy, and that is the rough thing; I have so many things to do, and I'm just not sure when they'll get done. But it will be ok.

Today we met up with Amber and her kids at a park for a playdate and some moral support. When we arrived, I opened the car door to get Caleb out of his seat and found this.
The jacket was totally unnecessary; though my phone insisted that it was 57 degrees out when we left, it was 70 degrees at the park. The sunglasses are because he is just that cool, and the pink bow?  Daisy got a new insulated travel cup featuring Hello Kitty. Caleb was fascinated, and even more fascinated because the cup doesn't belong to him. Before we left for the park, he asked for a bow in his hair so he could be like Hello Kitty.

Funny boy.

At the park, Caleb was quite the stinker. Defiant, uncooperative, fussy... it was a trifecta of toddler terrible-ness.
Daisy, however, was charming and utterly delighted by the attention she got from Mary and Catherine.
OK, so maybe she's throwing rocks in this picture. But throwing rocks is way better than whatever it was that Caleb was doing at the moment.

And now I'm off to fret about trip preparation.
