Today, my children were surprisingly cooperative while I engaged in some serious nesting. Until recently, Baby's room has been an unused storage room, full of my sewing and crafting supplies, and the pack and play where our friend Andrew occasionally slept. Then we got a king-sized bed, and moved our queen-sized bed into Baby's room. (Eventually it will be Daisy's bed, but we don't want to overwhelm her with a new baby and a new bed all at once.) Then Tigerlily declared the extra room her domain. Today, I cleared out all of the crafting supplies, organized the new baby supplies, and crazily vacuumed to remove all of Tigerlily's hair. It took all morning, and Caleb and Daisy rocked it.
At some point, Caleb asked for a banana, and took it out on the deck to enjoy. Then Daisy wanted a banana, and Caleb happily shared the bottom half of his with her.
And then we went back to crazily cleaning and organizing.
Banana breaks can only last so long.
