Today we drove out to Chris' parents' house to celebrate his mom's birthday. (I won't say which birthday she's celebrating; suffice it to say that we're breeding children with some really good genes!) We tried to go swimming, but a brief thunderstorm spoiled those plans. Instead, Caleb and Daisy got to hang out with Grandmother and Grandad and Aunt Sally for the afternoon. They had a blast!
Grandmother gave Caleb this Cardinals towel. As soon as we got home, he insisted that we spread it out on the kitchen floor. He promptly laid down and began rolling around on it.
We got home in time for dinner, and in the last fleeting moments of daylight after dinner, I finally managed to take Daisy's three-month photos.
Cheerful girl in her Daisy romper.

Gangster Daisy. "West side, yo!"
The dress Daisy is wearing was hand-made by Chris' grandmother. She sewed it for Chris' mom over sixty years ago. How cool is it that our daughter gets to wear it, too?
I love those little monkey toes!
My happy girl!
"Are we almost done, Mom?"
"We are? We're finished?"
"Hooray!"
At three months old, Daisy:
Weighs 11 lbs, 9.5 oz. (somewhere between 10th and 25th percentile)
Is 24 inches long (more like the 75th percentile!)
Took a short break from sleeping through the night, but may be back at it.
Sleeps from 8 pm to 4:30 am, nurses, and goes back to sleep until 6.
Naps for 45 minutes at a time, with one long nap while Caleb naps.
Nurses maybe 8 times a day, for 10 minutes at a time.
Loves to talk - loudly. Especially while Caleb is asleep.
Adores Caleb. She always smiles when she sees him, and kicks her legs in excitement when he comes near.
Is ridiculously cheerful. She only cries in the evening.
Has rolled over (front to back), but doesn't do it often.
Loves to bat at her toys, or hold and examine them.
Has just started grabbing my hair. Ow.
And then there's Caleb. He's just a funny, cheerful boy. Except when he's having a tantrum.
didnt get to see this until today. i am laughing so hard at the gangsta comment about daisy. what a hoot.
