Today was a beautiful day, so we spent a lot of time outside, despite sniffles from both parties.
Caleb has a whiffleball bat out on the patio, and Chris has been trying to show him how to swing it.
I don't think we're quite there yet.
But as soon as he gets outside and sees the bat, he makes a beeline for it, saying, "Bat! Bat! Bat!"
And that last photo above? He was definitely saying, "Pay Ba!" as he lifted the bat. He has a baseball toy that says, "Play ball!" when it turns on, and I guess he's made the connection. How cute is that? So we're working on the batting, he has a pretty mean throw, and he's still favoring his left hand... all we have to do is master the walking, and Chris' plan of Caleb being a left-handed pitcher is totally in the bag.
That's right, buddy. You're our retirement plan.
Maybe we shouldn't abandon the 401k quite yet.
That's funny - Michael had the same left-handed pitcher plan for Michael Jr. Although I think now he might have shifted his focus to turning him into a world class runner.
