How on earth is it already November?
We recovered from the chaos of Halloween by staying at home and doing nothing. The most I accomplished today was getting a box of baby toys out of the basement and cleaning them. But it was enough.
While Caleb and Daisy played with the "new" toys, Lily rolled around on a blanket in her room.
Caleb chose her ensemble. A good look, no?
I took her diaper off because I was helping her practice her rolling, and the cloth diapers are so bulky, especially at this age. They seem to make rolling even harder, so I like to give her a chance to practice bare-bottomed.
Of course, as usual, the moment I took Lily's diaper off she began kicking, wiggling, and talking, talking, talking! This girl loves to have her diaper off!
After dinner, Chris took the big kids outside for our first raking session of the season. By this time last year, most of the leaves had fallen around our house. This year, they're just getting started. It's kind of crazy! But Caleb and Daisy were delighted to help Daddy.
Daisy chose red party shoes for raking.
I suppose they match her coat, and why shouldn't she look snazzy while she rakes?
Caleb was pretty serious about his raking, even if he ended up being seriously unhelpful.
The victory of the day?
The kids didn't ask for - or eat - a single piece of candy. Yahoo!
The loss of the day?
Lily's Yoda pumpkin was stolen during the night. Darth Vader and Chewbacca remained untouched, but Yoda is gone. Really, I suppose it's best that Lily's was the one stolen; she's the only child that doesn't mind!
