Just another normal Chris-less day here - Caleb went to preschool, Daisy and Lily had a visit from our Parent Educator, and my mom has rescued this evening for me, spending way too much time rocking, holding, and shushing a screaming Lily. We're going to have to work on nighttime; she wants desperately to sleep, but can't seem to figure the whole process out.
It's tough work being a baby.
But Lily definitely has the daytime baby thing figured out.
See how cute she is perched on Grandma's shoulder?
This may be the first photo I've seen of Lily where I think she actually looks like one of my children.
And look at how strong her neck is! What a big girl!
Then we went outside, but didn't stay long; the mosquitoes are terrible in our back yard!
In the brief moments before the mosquitoes found Lily and began swarming (really!), Daisy was delighted to have unfettered access to her sister.
Lily enjoyed it, too!
(Can you tell that she's smiling? These first smiles are too fleeting to catch very well in pictures.)
See? Another one!
And then Daisy began swarming, along with those dratted mosquitoes.
This was just the beginning of her smothering loving. Can you see the panic in Lily's eyes?
"Seriously, Mom! Keep that kid away from me!"
Ha. You'd better get used to it, Lil. It doesn't look like the loving is going to stop anytime soon!
