Today we went to a sno-cone birthday celebration for this handsome little man:
Though Caleb turned three right after our Caleb's third birthday, he waited to celebrate until his grandparents were in town.
This celebration was worth the wait: sno-cones and swimming and cupcakes that looked like ice cream cones meant that our Caleb was in heaven!
The two Calebs are so funny to watch together!
They clearly enjoy each others' company, which makes complete sense: They have nearly the same birthday, the same name, and the same interests (Cars the movie, Hot Wheels, Jesus, and baseball). They have baby sisters who are nearly the same age, and parents who are remarkably similar, too. How funny!
Our neighbor, Terry, is the other Caleb's great-uncle, so he was at the party making balloon animals for all of the kids. Our Caleb was beyond delighted when Terry made him a balloon sword.
Though she doesn't look it here, Daisy really enjoyed the party, too. Can you believe she's fifteen months old today? The girl is really growing up: She now has six teeth - four on top, two on bottom, stands all the time and is working to stand independently, is suddenly Miss Independent, and is learning new words every day. Tonight at dinner I was humming "Mahnah mahnah" (click the link - it's a Muppet song that will make you chuckle) and Daisy started singing along! I would sing, "Doo doo, doo doo-doo" and Daisy chimed in with, "Mahnah manah!" every time.
She's also getting taller. I was nursing her this morning and I realized that she suddenly has long, gangly toddler legs (even though she isn't walking yet). She is definitely more toddler now, and less baby. What fun!
Now if only she would toddle...
